Throwing awesome home parties can keep you on your feet all day long, cocktails, sumptuous food and a chat with friend that seems endless. All is indeed memorable and can relieve you from the stress from work and your fast pacing life. Actually it is indeed memorable not only from the pictures but also from your hardwood floors. Stains, spills and soaking wet floors are inevitable. You just find yourself the next morning looking disgusted on your floors.

Your wood flooring doesn’t love beers and steaks like you do so after a party prepare for a daunting task of cleaning ahead of you.
Beer and other beverage Spills can leak through any possible seams though the gaps between the plank; be sure to address them first before anything else. This type of beverages not will damage your wood floors not only because they contain water but moreover these beverages contain sugar that attracts various insects such as ants – and they come in numbers! This creepy crawlies damages your hardwood floors from the inside burrowing there network of tunnels and not to mention it is disgusting to share your home with them.

Food spills o the other hand especially greasy ones are very hard to remove and often times they leave an unpleasant smell behind even on wood. Be sure to pick up and sweep your floor using a commercial cleaner or detergent to remove stains and odor. For some spills that may have hardened, you can use the handle of a spoon or fork to scrape them off before wiping.

Cigarette butts and ashes may not cause damage but of course you have to get rid of them. A broom stick a conventional vacuum will do the trick for you. In worse cases your guest can throw lit butts on your floor, it may not be enough to cause a fire but it sure will burn a little leaving an orange to red mark. You can get rid of it by using a cloth damped in liquid detergent.

If you have guests that are a real party animal then spills are not only thing to worry, knocking off a heavy object can cause dents to you hardwood floors. Though it is not an urgent task, eventually you will have to fix it. There are generally two ways, you either patch it with commercially available patches or if it not too deep you can settle for sanding it down a bit.
